A crescendo of contrasting voices
telling the same tales but with their differing views
Both their reasons opposing the other’s choices,
but who’s reasoning will the judge of Truth choose?
She tells me a tale
of his blame,
“Typical male
they’re all the same!”
If only she could see
that one who stood out,
then there would not be
a reason for her to shout,
but behind her melee
of angry attack
it’s easy to see
that she wants him back.
He gives his account
about all her wrongs
which did amount
for far too long
“Just another lass,
who likes to mess with my brain!”
If only he could grasp
she thinks just the same,
but behind his mask
and his words that defend
the only thing he asks
is to comprehend.
Contrasting but for mutual regret,
their snide comments merely dig more despair.
Two stubborn minds mutually upset
both have mutual hurts to repair.
