Frightening Words

I have some words so hard to say,

and I know the words to be true;

I can't deny that I'm afraid,

I can't deny that I love you.

But how do I tell you of my love

when it's such a statement to make?

Yet when your hand fits mine like a glove

I'm sure that I've made no mistake.

And so I'll tell you to your face

that you are my reason to smile.

You are the girl who makes my heart race

for whom I'd travel many mile.

So I will utter the words here

and let you know every day;

I love you and now without fear,

I hope that forever, mine you'll stay.
