They say that effort brings success
and I guess that means happiness
so I'll keep on grinning
when my sadness is winning,
and for as long as I'm trying
my smile will be undying
and one day it might just be
a permanent reality.
I've made the effort to take note
to what they have to say
and I keep holding on to the hope
that my endeavour will pay.
